The Occupational Therapist will conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop client-centered intervention plans. They will also facilitate referrals and maintain accurate documentation to contribute to program development and evaluation.
Candidates must have a degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists. Experience working with marginalized populations, particularly those facing mental health and addiction challenges, is essential.

Bedford and Berkana House are community-based residential facilities (CRF) that provides housing, ongoing counselling, support and connections to appropriate community services to men who are on federal conditional release. The CRF's are staffed 24 hours a day.
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Community Residential Facilities. This role works closely with the team to support clients transitioning from correctional settings into the community. The successful candidate will apply occupational therapy models to address client needs related to mental health, addictions, physical health, and daily living.
Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive health assessments (cognition, addictions, physical health, daily living). Develop and implement client-centered intervention plans. Facilitate referrals and liaise with healthcare providers and community resources. Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to program development and evaluation.
Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists. Experience working with marginalized populations, including those with mental health and addiction challenges. Strong understanding of community resources and healthcare systems. Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Brain Story Certification considered an asset.
