The Physical Therapist - Degree - Senior will act as the clinical leader for the Saskatchewan Spine Pathway and Clinic, providing support and direction to other physical therapists. They will participate in the assessment, treatment, education, and evaluation of spinal patients while collaborating with healthcare professionals.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and be registered or eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists. A minimum of two years of experience in assessing and treating spinal patients is required, along with CPR certification and preferred advanced certification in Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy.

Reporting to the Manager, the Physical Therapist - Degree - Senior will act as the clinical leader for the Saskatchewan Spine Pathway and Saskatchewan Spine Pathway Clinic. The incumbent will provide support and direction to the physical therapist(s) - degree as necessary, as well as participating in the assessment, treatment, education and evaluation for Spinal Patients. The Physical Therapist - Degree - Senior will work closely and collaboratively with the referring Primary Care Practitioner and Spine Surgeons to ensure continuity and high-quality care.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists (SCPT) CPR certification at Level "C" is required. Level 3 Certification in Advances Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy or greater is preferred Experience Minimum of two (2) years' experience in assessment and treatment of spinal patients. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge and understanding of the Four Patterns of Low Back Pain. Demonstrated ability to employ a biopsychosocial approach in the provision of care to the complex patient population. Good working knowledge of the continuum of spinal care, as well as public and community resources in the province of Saskatchewan is required. Flexible and adaptive approach to the treatment of complex spinal patients. Excellent complex problem solving and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, communicate and coordinate care with other health care team members. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and all members of the health care team with the ability to integrate ideas into a team treatment approach. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others. Coping skills to work with clients dealing with stress, role loss, and other psychological issues.
