The Community Support Worker will provide care and support to individuals living in staffed homes, ensuring their rights and choices are respected. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, medication administration, and fostering positive relationships with families and community members.
Candidates must have a Grade 12 education and a Community Support Worker Diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in community social services or healthcare. Additional requirements include First Aid/CPR certification, a satisfactory Driver's Abstract, and criminal record clearance.
As our Community Support Worker, you will work as part of a vibrant team to provide care and support to people living in staffed homes within their community. You’ll encourage and empower the people we support to be independent and self-determining and to live the life they envision while maintaining excellent standards of care, health, and safety. Your natural ability to care for others and work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team will allow you to influence your team’s success.
