Collect blood and other specimens and label them according to Fraser Health policies. Assist with fine needle aspiration collections by providing clerical support. Prepare specimens for analysis (centrifuge, aliquot, distribute by priority) including Microbiology, Pathology, and Cytology specimens and assist with gross exams. Stain, mount, and label slides. Perform clerical duties including computer data entry for patient information and tests. Communicate test results to designated parties and handle inquiries from health team members. Clean, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment and perform temperature checks on fridges, incubators, autoclaves, and water baths. Prepare reagents, media, and specimen collection materials; receive, store, and ship specimens and materials.
