Provide compassionate inpatient substance use withdrawal nursing care at the Nechako Centre. Practice in accordance with professional practice standards and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) code of ethics. Work under general supervision of Manager or designate and report to the Withdrawal Management Unit Program Lead or designate. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team and partners to deliver holistic, person-centered, recovery-oriented care. Assess and monitor clients and develop a plan of personal care and interventions with the patient/family and care team. Assist individuals in managing medical symptoms of substance abuse withdrawal. Complete initial and ongoing client assessments and provide appropriate nursing interventions. Communicate effectively with clients, families, the public, medical staff, and interdisciplinary team members. Integrate and evaluate pertinent data to problem-solve effectively. Create culturally safe, trauma-informed health care settings through individualized care planning and collaborative service provision
