Overview
Prioritize, process, coordinate, and transcribe physicians’ orders. Act as a communication link for the unit. Schedule, book, and coordinate patient/resident appointments. Assemble and maintain patient/resident charts. Input patient/resident data and transcribe information into systems such as MARS, Kardex, Careplan, charts, or electronic health record systems. Perform clerical duties including keyboarding, data entry, filing, compiling, preparing and maintaining statistics, producing reports, delivering and picking up items, maintaining unit supply levels, and meeting minutes. Maintain timekeeping records for regular and relief staff and submit/enter to payroll systems. Observe patient/resident call signals and relay messages to the appropriate personnel
