Coordinate Northern Health vaccine inventory and support outbreak/pandemic preparation and response for the Communicable Disease department. Ensure cold chain requirements and timely vaccine distribution practices are maintained to supply viable vaccine. Ensure communities can store and monitor vaccines and have plans to mitigate cold chain breaks and vaccine wastage due to improper handling/ordering or equipment/power failures. Consult with immunization program planners and community vaccine providers on proper vaccine handling, storage, and monitoring. Develop and communicate resources outlining minimum standards and guidelines for vaccine management. Support implementation of organizational strategies and coordinate vaccine distribution to key stakeholders. Evaluate ongoing capability of Northern Health and assigned HSDAs to respond efficiently to vaccine needs. Coordinate and facilitate delivery of Northern Health vaccination programs with key partners (Population and Public Health, Primary and Community Care leaders, Community Vaccine Providers, BCCDC). Lead support staff as applicable
