Provide holistic, person-centered, recovery-oriented inpatient substance use withdrawal nursing care. Practice in accordance with standards of professional practice and code of ethics (BCCNM). Assess and monitor clients and develop plans of personal care and intervention with the patient/family and care team. Manage medical symptoms of substance abuse withdrawal in partnership with the multidisciplinary care team. Complete initial and ongoing client assessments using clinical and diagnostic reasoning. Provide nursing care through appropriate technical, therapeutic, and safety interventions. Communicate effectively with clients, families, public, medical staff, and interdisciplinary team. Integrate and evaluate pertinent data from multiple sources to problem-solve. Create culturally safe, trauma-informed health care settings through individualized care planning and collaborative service provision. Transmit information to instruct clients and others about essential health care and well-being topics. Manage time and resources and implement activities that promote cooperation and collaboration across disciplines. Support implementation of Northern Health policies/protocols and contribute to professional development
