Provide direct nursing care as a Mental Health Nurse in specialized rehabilitation hospital or community MHSU locations. Deliver core mental health services including assessment, treatment, harm reduction information and education, rehabilitation, and patient support. Develop, plan, implement, and maintain clinical services and client-centered rehabilitation programs consistent with professional standards. Contribute to monitoring and enhancement of the physical site. Administer and monitor side effects of psychotropic medications. Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team. Provide crisis intervention and support for individuals, families, and groups. Manage aggressive behaviour using non-violent crisis intervention and behavioral management techniques where appropriate. Travel between multiple sites as required
