Position Summary
WELL Health Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Assistant (CA) to join our healthcare team. The CA will work collaboratively with the physician to provide high-quality patient care, assist with clinical procedures, and support the delivery of efficient medical services.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused, clinically competent, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.
What you will be doing
- Conduct patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage common medical conditions under physician supervision
- Treating both acute and chronic concerns in collaboration with the supervising physician
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans
- Prescribe medications in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Assist physician during procedures and surgeries
- Providing wound care, freezing warts, performing PAP tests , immunizations, Mantoux tests
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Counselling patients about their health conditions, prevention, and healthy lifestyles, educate patients on screenings as per the provincial screening guidelines
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with the physician and other allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical meetings
You have
- Eligible for licensure/registration in Ontario, Canada
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Previous experience in family medicine.
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
