The Medical Radiation Technologist is responsible for operating and maintaining radiology equipment while ensuring strict adherence to radiation safety and infection control protocols. They will perform quality assurance activities and manage medical records to ensure high-quality patient care within the surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure the radiology equipment and auxiliary equipment function correctly and are maintained properly.
Follow documented safe operating procedures for the equipment.
Practices effective radiation protection, infection control, and safety techniques as applicable.
Handle all personal information and all personal health information according to the appropriate governing privacy legislation.
Perform quality assurance and quality control activities according to equipment manufacturer’s instructions and all applicable industry standards.
Ensure all images are saved and filed in the appropriate medical record.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Candidates must hold a diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist program and maintain active registration with the CAMRT. Additionally, applicants are required to have current BCLS-HCP certification and proven experience with fluoroscopy in an operating room setting.
