CBI Home Health is looking to hire Registered Nurses, Acute Care in Peterborough for our Integrated Care Program.
The salary range for this position is $37.00 to $45.51 per hour, inclusive of a $5.00 per hour premium.
This job posting is an existing vacancy with guaranteed hours while working as part of CBI Home Health’s Integrated Care Team.
Full-Time Guarantee of 75.0 Hours Biweekly
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8am to 4pm (Thursday off)
Week 2: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8am to 4pm (Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday off)
Week 1: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 12pm to 8pm (Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday off)
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12pm to 8pm (Thursday off)
Part Time Guarantee of 30.0 Hours Biweekly

What you will do
As a Registered Nurse with the Integrated Care Program, you will help deliver a model of care that brings advanced, coordinated support directly from the hospital into the home. The Acute Care Registered Nurse delivers advanced assessments, monitoring, complex treatments, and rapid interventions for clients with serious illnesses and exacerbations of chronic conditions. These clients are expected to have complex, unstable, and unpredictable health conditions, with higher risks of adverse outcomes.
What you will need to be successful
Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing.
Ability to work the days and times specified in the shift rotation.
Flexibility to complete Acute care program related duties as assigned/ needed within shift
Attend regular and ad hoc interdisciplinary huddles and meetings.
Commitment to attend additional training as needed.
Experience providing acute, complex and/or hospital-level nursing care.
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills with ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient condition.
Experience with IV therapy, vascular access devices, medication administration, complex wound and drain care and acute care monitoring.
Strong digital literacy with ability to quickly learn and navigate digital health technologies, including electronic health records, remote patient monitoring and point-of-care testing. Experience with Meditech or Epic preferred.
Current and valid BCLS Training required
Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening
Proof of negative TB test within the last 12 months
Professional Liability Insurance (RNAO)
Reliable transportation and willingness to service all areas of Peterborough County, as operationally required.
A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and vehicle insurance required.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills, French or additional language skills considered an asset.
