Restorative Care Aide

The Restorative Care Aide implements restorative care programs as directed by a Physiotherapist to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents. They are responsible for evaluating resident progress, maintaining accurate records, and reporting significant changes to the clinical team.
As a member of the Clinical Home Support Team, the Physiotherapist Assistant will report to the Program Manager as well as implement restorative care programs as directed by the Physiotherapist to meet the various physical, emotional, intellectual, social needs of residents and assists in monitoring their needs and progress. Implements restorative care programs. Evaluates residents’ progress. Reports any significant changes to the Physiotherapist and nursing staff as appropriate. Attends in-service education programs. Participates in development and revision of programs under the guidance of the Physiotherapist. Maintains program and resident records. Adheres to established policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, safety, environment and infection control. Works cooperatively with other departments to meet resident needs. Other duties as assigned by Kinesiologist.
