Area of Work
Successful candidates will provide nursing care to clients throughout Sarnia-Lambton, including Sarnia, Petrolia, Forest, Kettle Point, and surrounding communities. Availability Requirements
We are seeking flexible nurses who are available to support both school-day shifts and overnight nursing assignments throughout the Sarnia-Lambton region. Successful candidates must be available for:
School-day shifts, with schedules determined based on individual client needs (some shifts may be approximately 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
Overnight shifts as required
Every other weekend
Participation in an on-call rotation of approximately 1 to 2 nights per week, to be discussed further upon completion of orientation School Shift Nursing Nurses providing school-day support will deliver care to pediatric clients in accordance with their individualized care plans. Responsibilities may include:
Assisting clients with personal care and daily living activities before, during, and after the school day
Providing clinical support, including medication administration, feeding assistance, monitoring, and other nursing interventions as required
Supporting clients within the school environment to ensure their health, safety, and well-being throughout the day
Collaborating with families, school personnel, and the healthcare team to provide consistent, high-quality care School shift schedules and responsibilities may vary depending on the unique needs of each client. Overnight Shift Nursing In addition to school-day support, successful candidates will provide overnight nursing care to clients as required. Overnight assignments will vary based on client needs and operational requirements and may include monitoring, clinical assessments, medication administration, palliative care support, and ongoing client care throughout the shift.
Experience working with pediatric clients Experience providing palliative care Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams Locations Assignments may take place in clients' homes, schools, and community settings throughout Sarnia-Lambton, including Sarnia, Petrolia, Forest, Kettle Point, and surrounding areas.
Education Graduate from an accredited/recognized School of Nursing (evidence required) Current RN or RPN registration (in good standing) with the applicable provincial licensing body Valid CPR certification
Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
