We are currently seeking part-time Rehabilitation Therapists responsible for providing supervision and support to individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABIs). This position is based out of our Etobicoke Residential Rehabilitation site, which is a group-home setting that provides 24-hour care and programming for clients with ABIs and concurrent physical, mental, behavioural, and/or substance use challenges. Rehabilitation Therapists also work with community clients within the GTA. With provision of comprehensive multi-disciplinary programs, clients are engaged in daily functional rehab and meaningful/productive activities. Goals you’ll be supporting may include increasing levels of independence and participation in life activities, community reintegration, social reintegration, and avocational/volunteer activities to name a few! Overall, as a Rehabilitation Therapist, you will be part of a team that endeavors to deliver specialized care in order for clients to make strides in their recovery. Please note: this is a part-time position and hours fluctuate according to client census (no minimum guaranteed hours). Weekend availability is required.
Requires post-secondary studies in social sciences or healthcare and a valid G driver's license with access to a vehicle. Candidates must have experience working with mental health or behavioural challenges and be available for flexible shifts including weekends.
