The Personal Support Worker assists clients with non-medical activities of daily living, including personal care, transfers, and meal preparation. They must perform these duties while respecting client dignity and maintaining health and safety standards.

Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.

The Opportunity We are currently seeking to fill 6 Part-Time, Permanent Support Services Attendant positions in the Central Toronto area.

Flexible schedule: Includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Starting wage: $22.42per hour.

This compensation is inclusive of a $3.00 per hour wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients.

The wage enhancement does not apply to training and paid leave.

Qualifications and

Experience: · High School diploma or equivalent. · Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification. · Experience working with people with physical disabilities and knowledge of Independent Living or Consumer-based care. · Knowledge and skills in transferring, lifting, bowel and bladder routines, and other attendant care duties. · Physical Demands Self Analysis required upon hire. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills. · Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours. · Reliable transportation is required.
