We currently have an exciting opportunity for a General X-Ray Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team.
Employment Status: Permanent Full Time Reporting Relationship: Manager, Medical Imaging Hours of work: 8 hour rotating shifts on weekdays, evenings, nights and/or weekends - subject to change as per Article HRH 2 – Management Rights Employee Group: OPSEU 577 Hourly rate range: $36.84 - $50.24 Location: Humber River Health - Wilson Site
Perform all x-ray exams as per determined departmental protocols. Includes general x-ray, O.R., Portables, Gastric exams, Fluoroscopy and minor procedures Ability to operate all types of equipment including general x-ray rooms (DR & CR), mobile x-ray, c-arm fluoroscopy, general fluoroscopy and multi-purpose rooms. Prepare and assess patients for radiologic procedures including obtaining consent and confirming exam validity, resourcing radiologists as is necessary and sterile technique practices. Complete exam process by image review, confirming documentation and presenting to radiologists for reporting via film and/or PACS. Knowledge of and dutifully follows radiation safety practices for the protection of the patient, colleagues and their own occupational dose.
Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). Requires previous experience in emergency, operating room, and portable radiology settings.
Must be registered and in good standing with College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). CAMRT is preferred. Must have past experience in Emergency, Operating Room and Portable Radiology. Ability to work independently or part of a team internally and externally to the Medical Imaging Department. Excellent attendance and discipline free record required. Must be willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the department when necessary.
