About the role

Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures on patients at the Hermitage Clinic. Ensure high-quality images while maintaining strict radiation safety protocols and patient comfort.

A leading provider of diagnostic imaging services, Insight Medical Imaging connects in a meaningful way with our patients, physicians, and employees. With over 650 employees and 20 locations, Insight provides services in Edmonton and surrounding regions, as well as in Fort McMurray.

Insight is currently seeking an X Ray Technologist to join the dynamic and expanding team at our Hermitage clinic. This is a temporary, full-time 1.0 FTE position on a 1-year contract, with the possibility of extension. The start date for this position is October 2026.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares and performs a variety of standardized and/or complex procedures as set forth by the Radiologists and our referring Physicians.
  • Responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of all equipment.
  • DI Equipment: Must have working knowledge of all equipment and ensure all units are functioning correctly.
  • Responsible for maintaining safety and the general care and cleanliness of the radiographic area, with particular attention to radiation safety and infection control.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and all DI office duties.
  • Assist in the training of new staff and students, as requested by MGM.

Skills

  • Committed to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards.
  • Clinical competency in medical radiography.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and practices.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • MRT(R)/CLXT designation in good standing CAMRT, ACMDTT or ACCLXT.
  • Existing training in Bone Density and Pain Management preferred but not required.
  • CPR Standard First aid certificate is an asset.
