The Brenda Strafford Foundation (BSF) is a charitable organization that currently owns and operates five Aging Care & Senior Living communities in Calgary, AB, and Okotoks, AB. The Role

We are currently seeking a Certified Therapy Assistant (CTA) to join our passionate multi-disciplinary team. If you are committed to promoting resident safety, restoring quality of life, and fostering a culture of compassion and collaboration—this is the opportunity for you!

As a Certified Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of restorative therapy programs under the direction of a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist. You will:

Implement therapeutic interventions tailored to each resident’s needs and care plan.

Contribute to safe, supportive, and respectful environments for residents, families, and staff.

Promote teamwork, communication, and inclusivity across all care settings.

Understand and practice within your scope, ensuring safe and ethical care.

Maintain accurate documentation and report any changes or concerns to supervising therapists.

Actively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and resident safety.

Graduation from a recognized Certified Therapy Assistant program (PTA/OTA).

Experience working in long-term care or a rehabilitation setting is an asset.

Knowledge of restorative care practices and a commitment to ethical, person-centered care.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under supervision.

A passion for improving quality of life for seniors.
