The Respiratory Therapist performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including mechanical ventilation support and airway management for patients. They also participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and ensure the maintenance and calibration of respiratory equipment.

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and hold current credentials from the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care. Additionally, they are required to maintain active CPR Level C and Neonatal Resuscitation Program certifications.
