Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager, and as part of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker BSW provides a range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to a primarily adult community mental health and addiction population.

  • Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs & support agencies
  • Ability to formulate evidence-based intervention based on clinical presentation
  • Establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships
  • Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving, conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to identify, implement and evaluate areas of client difficulty.
  • Knowledge of Recovery Philosophy
  • Knowledge of assessment, triage, treatment and case management.
  • Knowledge in various mental health and addiction and harm reduction strategies
  • Public relation skills with the ability to maintain effective work relationships
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree and be registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers. Experience in mental health and addiction community outreach, along with a valid Class 5 driver's license, is required.
