Work as a Registered Practical Nurse providing nursing care for acute medicine - cardiology patients. Opportunity to work in other areas within the medical program is also available.

Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire Recent acute medical experience an asset Strong patient assessment skills required Required skills include aseptic technique, suctioning and wound care Experience with medication administration required Organized and with ability to work in a team environment Caring, compassionate, customer focused attitude towards patients and families Ability to function in a fast-paced environment Good team player with positive attitude Evidence of continued learning Must be physically able to do the job, which involves heavy lifting and intensive physical effort Satisfactory employment and attendance record required The ideal candidate is strong in patient centered care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation.
Hours: Various rotating 12 hour shifts - 0730-1930 and 1930 to 0730 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs) Salary: $36.08 to $39.02 per hour
Must hold current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario and possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Recent acute medical experience is considered an asset for this role.
