The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic MRI exams and operating medical imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and comfort. They also manage clerical duties, maintain procedural records, and assist in the training of students and new staff.

An integral member of the Diagnostic Imaging department, MRI technologist responsibilities include: performing MRI exams as outlined in the MRI procedure manual; operating ,trouble shooting and ensuring that medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner; completing all clerical aspects of exam completion; training of students and new technologists; continuing education as required by associations and needs of department; all patient care responsibilities to facilitate the provision of optimal patient care; observing and understanding hospital visions and values of teamwork, integrity, excellence, customer-focus and innovation while maintaining patient confidentiality; performing cross-functional responsibilities as assigned, or requested; performing other duties related to the job classification, as required.
