The Nurse Practitioner will provide holistic care to individuals, families, and the community within Primary Health Care Networks. Responsibilities include conducting community needs assessments, implementing health promotion programs, and collaborating with physicians to deliver quality patient-centered services.

  • One year experience in community needs assessment/development/health promotion
  • 3 years experience as an RN in primary care, public health or acute care

  • Graduate from an approved School of Nursing

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

  • Registered/eligible for registration with CRNS as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • Ability to maintain current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with CRNS
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)

  • Knowledge in individual assessment and counselling skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of teaching abilities & group facilitation skills

  • Demonstrates empathy, trust and respect in the provision of care
  • Ability to apply methods and principles of nursing process
  • Knowledge in the principles of Population Health Promotion
  • Demonstrates ability to assess the community for primary care needs.
  • Knowledge of common medical conditions and treatments.

  • This is a community based position providing services in clinic within the Primary Health Care Networks (Regina) and can be assigned to one of the primary Health Care Network. Home base for this position is: 2180 Victoria Ave. E.

Requirements

Candidates must be registered or eligible for registration with the CRNS as a Nurse Practitioner and possess a valid Class 5 driver's license. The role requires at least three years of RN experience in primary, public, or acute care, along with one year of experience in community health development.
