Plans and provides direct nursing care to patients/residents in the hospital or in the community in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing registered nurse registrant, with up to two years of recent related experience depending on the clinical setting. Specialty unit positions require relevant specialty certification, and Heart Health positions require demonstrated arrhythmia interpretation ability. Effective communication, workload organization, prioritization, interpersonal skills, and physical ability to perform the duties are required.
