The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and developing personalized, evidence-based treatment plans for clients. What you will do: The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the completion of professional activities that include assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients requiring speech treatment, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders (children and adults).

Responsibilities

Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Utilize your expertise to diagnose a wide range of speech, language, and communication disorders. Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Create and implement personalized, evidence-based therapy plans that cater to each client’s unique needs. Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with physicians, psychologists, educators, and other professionals to provide holistic and integrated care. Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure meticulous and up-to-date client records, adhering to all regulatory standards. Engage in Continuous Learning: Stay ahead in your field by participating in ongoing professional development and training opportunities. Educate and Empower Clients: Provide clients and their families with effective strategies to support communication and swallowing functions, enhancing their quality of life. What you bring

Master’s Degree or recognized equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists or Speech-Language Pathologists required. Three (3) years’ experience providing Speech-Language Pathology services preferred Experience completing in-home assessments and treatments; knowledge of auto insurance and legal system is an asset particularly medical/legal report writing Enjoy working with clients of all ages in multiple treatment environments. Strong communication (oral and written) and exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills Demonstrate basic knowledge of personal computers, and proficiency with secure email. Valid Class G or G2 driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Greater Hamilton and Burlington communities Pediatric experience an asset Bayshore is committed to a high quality and safe environment for both our staff and clients/patients. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and be registered with the relevant provincial college. Three years of experience is preferred, along with a valid driver's license and the ability to perform in-home visits.
