The Therapeutic Assistant will work cooperatively and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team in carrying out the individual’s treatment program and communicating patient-specific information that will enhance the level of knowledge of the treatment team.About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

Grade XII plus a two year certificate or diploma from a Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation Program Current CPR certification is required Current St. John Ambulance First Aid course preferred Current certification in Non Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) is an asset Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Knowledge of community resources Competencies in other languages preferred; French an asset Successful external applicants are required to provide a criminal record check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) to People Services before starting employment and assume any associated costs as a condition of employment

Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly.

Approximately 12 months Compensation and Benefits $24.75 - $28.36 Hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
