Under the direction of a Manager and as part of the interdisciplinary team, the Community Mental Health Nurse provides a complex range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case coordination services to a community mental health and addictions population The incumbent provides program consultation and co-ordination, evaluation of clinical interventions, supervision, preceptor students in formal clinical practicum, and provides professional and public education regarding mental health and addiction issues and resources. The incumbent will provide nursing leadership and clinical expertise in the development and maintenance of community mental health and addiction treatment programs and ensure nursing practice standards are maintained.

Candidates must have a minimum of two years of recent post-graduate experience in mental health and addictions and hold a diploma in psychiatric nursing. Current registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRPNS) is mandatory.
