Within the context of a client and family centred care model and in accordance with established vision and values of the organization, provides administrative support to Home Health, Mental Health and Public Health program staff (both on-site and off-site) under the auspices of Community Health.
Performs a variety of administrative support functions such as word processing, data entry, filing, typing reports and documents from notes for all programs.
Performs switchboard & reception duties and answers general inquiries relating to Community Health programs.
Education & Experience Grade Twelve or equivalent, and Office Administration Certificate and one year related experience or, two years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Working knowledge of industry standard computer hardware and software (e.g. word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software). Working knowledge of email and calendar programs. Ability to keyboard 5,000 keystrokes per hour. Closing Statement The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections.
