The Regional Research Assistant supports clinical research studies by performing phlebotomy, conducting participant assessments, and ensuring protocol compliance across multiple sites. We’re looking for a Regional Research Assistant (RA) to support the successful execution of clinical research studies across our Etobicoke, Brampton, and Manna Toronto sites. Etobicoke will be the primary location, with regular travel to the other sites based on participant and study needs. You’ll work closely with Investigators, Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs), and the wider site teams to ensure studies run smoothly, safely, and in full compliance with protocols and regulations. This hands-on role includes phlebotomy, participant follow-up visits, chart and data-query reviews, data entry, sample processing, and accurate study documentation. Site assignments will be planned with advance notice wherever possible. The regular schedule is Monday to Friday, generally 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m What you'll do
Have a degree in a health, science, or research-related field, or equivalent relevant experience supported by basic health and medical knowledge. Have phlebotomy training and demonstrated experience independently performing blood draws in a clinical, laboratory, or research setting. Hold a valid driver’s licence and have reliable transportation. Travel between sites is a core requirement, and employees are responsible for their transportation between work locations. Have experience in clinical research, healthcare, patient testing, or another relevant patient-facing environment. Communicate clearly and professionally with participants, colleagues, and external partners. Are tech-savvy and comfortable navigating Microsoft Office, clinical data systems, chart reviews, and data-query workflows. Thrive in a team environment while also working independently, staying organized, and adapting to changing priorities across multiple sites. Bring Hindi or Punjabi language skills—an asset for participant communication at the Brampton and Etobicoke sites, but not a requirement. Experience with follow-up visits, informed consent, ECGs, vital signs, point-of-care testing, or sample processing/shipping is also an asset.
