Qualifications: Education and training:
Minimum of a two (2) year Diploma in Respiratory Therapy, from an accredited college or equivalent. Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO) or equivalent. Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a clinical Hospital setting.
Successful vulnerable sector check is required.
Ability to use tact and discretion in dealing with health care providers and patients.
Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to perform with minimal supervision; to prioritize duties.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
Demonstrated professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record.
Ability to meet the physical and sensory demands of the job.
Ability to travel between local sites.
