Under the direction of the Manager or designate and in collaboration as a member of a multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse, Full Scope performs assessments, plans and provides personal care, and performs nursing procedures. The Licensed Practical Nurse, Full Scope operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, and according to agency operating policies and standards and unit specific protocols.
Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing Licensed Practical Nurse registrant.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, coworkers, multidisciplinary team members, and the public.
Ability to organize work and implement a plan of care.
Knowledge and competency to practice at the full scope required by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
Ability to operate related equipment and physically perform the duties of the position.
Additional specialty-specific education, certification, or experience may be required for perinatal, mental health and substance use, or hip and knee clinic positions
