About the role

Direct Support Professionals assist individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily lives within their homes and communities. They support clients in learning new skills while ensuring their rights and unique needs are respected.

Full -Time Direct Support Professional Positions

Hourly Rate

$25.05

Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.

Skills Required

  • SSW, Recreational therapist, DSW or CYW Diploma
  • experience with Behaviour support plans. (BSP)
  • Current/Valid G license and able to drive.
  • Candidates will be working across multiple sites all over the Greater Sudbury Area
  • Computer
  • Skills: Windows, Word, Excel, Email, etc.
  • Must build rapport and have a professional working relationship with the police, fire support, EMS and hospitals.
  • Full G License required
