Reports to the Manager or designate. Plans and provides direct nursing care to patients/residents in the hospital or in the community in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing registered nurse registrant.
Recent experience in acute medical/surgical nursing.
Completion of a basic arrhythmia interpretation course or equivalent education, skills, and training.
Demonstrated arrhythmia interpretation ability through a recent VIHA Basic Arrhythmia course or a score of at least 75% on the VIHA ECG Challenge Exam.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to organize workload, set priorities, and deal effectively with internal and external contacts.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
Criminal record check required for professional registration
