The technician is responsible for cleaning, packaging, and sterilizing dental instruments while maintaining strict compliance with IPAC standards. They also monitor sterilization equipment and ensure accurate record-keeping to support clinical operations.

  • Role: Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in compliance with IPAC standards and provincial regulations Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, completing required testing and documentation Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness Ensure a clean, safe, and organized reprocessing area following health and safety protocols Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow

  • You: Previous clinical experience working in sterilization role is considered an asset Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) Programs is preferred Experience with IPAC (Infection

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician program is preferred. Previous clinical experience in a sterilization role and knowledge of infection prevention and control are considered assets.
