What You'll Do Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic and general dental procedures. Support orthodontic treatments and assist with various stages of patients' treatment journeys. Assist with clear aligner and Invisalign treatments, including patient education and treatment support. Take digital scans, impressions, radiographs, photographs, and other diagnostic records as required. Prepare treatment rooms and instruments while maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control. Provide patients with clear instructions regarding treatment, oral hygiene, and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation. Work closely with the dentist and clinical team to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. Support front desk operations and patient communication as needed. Contribute to a positive, welcoming, and patient-focused clinic environment. What You'll Bring to the Role Current certification as a Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) and registration with BCCOHP. Previous orthodontic assisting experience is required. Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience, with a strong preference for candidates with orthodontic experience. Experience supporting clear aligner and/or Invisalign treatments. Experience with digital scanning technology, such as iTero or similar. Experience with orthodontic procedures, appliances, records, and patient education. Experience with Tracker dental software is considered an asset but is not required. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and confident in their care. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team. A genuine passion for orthodontics and helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
