About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide clinical care across all medical and surgical inpatient units within the Nursing Resource Team. Responsibilities include performing physical assessments, patient teaching, and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Humber River Health's Nursing Resources Team is part of the Staffing Resource Centre within the Hospital.

The Registered Nurses within the Nursing Resources Team are trained to cover all Medicine and Surgical Inpatient Units.

Members of the Nursing Resource Team have the opportunity to be trained in specialty areas when needed.

Right now we are looking for a Registered Nurse to work with our Nursing Resource Team.

Employment Status: Permanent Full-time Reporting Relationship: Manager, Nursing Resource Team

Hourly Rate

$41.15-$58.98 Union Group: ONA Hours of work: Rotating shifts, 8 or 12 hours, days/evenings/nights/weekends Location: Humber River Health – Wilson Site, Finch Site Position Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for Registered Nurse duties in all Medical and Surgical Inpatient Units. It is the expectation that members of the Nursing Resources Team are available for all rotating shifts.

Qualifications

Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario Current BCLS certification or demonstrated competency. Recent Medical and/or Surgical experience is mandatory. Minimum 2 years experience preferred. Coronary Care I or actively pursuing the Coronary Care Certification is an asset. Commitment to complete Coronary Care II within 12 months of starting on the unit is preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a variety of staff, patients and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds Excellent physical assessment skills is required preference will be given to applicants that have taken the physical assessment course Good patient/family teaching skills Excellent critical thinking skills, with anability to set priorities and work effectively in a fast paced environment Ability to work effectively/collaboratively in a team environment Excellent attendance and discipline free record required. Requirements

Candidates must hold current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and possess BCLS certification. Recent medical and/or surgical experience is mandatory, with a preference for at least two years of clinical practice.
