  • Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
  • Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
  • Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis. About this location/unit: Interior Health has embarked on an expansion plan to meet increasing demands, expand health services, and enhance patient care in the Okanagan. Construction of the six-storey, Centennial Patient Care Tower was completed in May 2012. It includes an expanded emergency department and ambulatory care department, five new operating rooms, a rooftop helipad, an expanded adult inpatient psychiatric unit, and extra space for more patient beds in the future. Kelowna General Hospital is the site of the brand new clinical academic campus for the University of BC Medical School. As a member of our 3W surgical nursing team you will work collaboratively to provide pre and post-surgical care nursing care for thoracic, plastics, urology and dental patients.
