Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Basic Life Support (Level C) (general duty staff nurse requirement).
ER Nursing Theory Level 1 or equivalent education and experience.
Pass the Island Health Basic Arrhythmia Challenge exam with a grade of 75% or greater.
Post-basic education for clinical areas and up to one (1) year of recent related experience (or equivalent combination) for general duty; specialty unit requirements may apply.
Ability to apply the nursing process effectively, communicate effectively, remain calm in stressful/emergency situations, and perform physical duties
