Market context
In Alberta, nursing employers commonly look for licensed practical nurses who can work in senior or long-term care settings, and experience in gerontology or rehabilitation can strengthen an application. These roles are competitive because current LPN registration, CPR, First Aid, and a Vulnerable Sector Check are often required, while relocation support, health benefits, paid time off, training, and education may be offered.
