Reporting to the Supervisor or designate and working in a computerized and digital imaging environment, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist coordinates/organizes and performs the assigned day-to-day activities in the Nuclear Medicine imaging department; coordinates/assists assigned department duties with fellow technologists and students. Maintains currency with all departmental policies and procedures; and complies with established administrative and clinical policies and procedures. Ensures consistent image/exam quality and test results.
CAMRT certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (RTNM).
Graduation from an approved nuclear medicine technology diploma program.
Eligible for CAMRT membership.
Completion of CT education courses and/or equivalent in-house education in physics, instrumentation, and CT clinical applications (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
One year recent, related nuclear medicine experience in an acute hospital setting.
Experience in all types of Diagnostic/Therapeutic radioisotope procedures.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
Ability to operate related equipment including computerized systems and software applications.
Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and organize work for self.
Ability to work as part of a team
