Reporting to the Coordinator of Therapy Programs, responsible for unit level therapy programs. This includes assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating therapy care plans on both an individual and group basis, for an assigned number of residents. Provides clinical work direction and coordinates tasks related to the provision of care and instructs Rehabilitation Assistants with the transfer of function.
Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy.
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
Two (2) years' recent related experience.
Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to work with clients with frailty and complex physical and mental health needs.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
Ability to travel between various sites.
Physical ability to lift and move residents safely.
Criminal Record Check required for professional registration
