Job Description

Community living is seeking an energetic, motivated, and career-minded full-time Case Worker for SISU house. We are looking for a candidate who possesses core and threshold competencies in advocating for others, collaboration, creative problem-solving, and decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate and reliable person with a G license who can work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting adults with developmental disabilities in accordance with the organization’s mission statement.

Responsibilities

Locate the appropriate services for clients according to their needs and preferences. Interview clients to determine services needed and determine their suitability and eligibility for each program. Determine if a client meets the eligibility requirements for social services programs and refer him or her to the proper agency, if necessary. Monitor time frames for services and document when goals are met.

Qualifications

Class G Licence (Required) Developmental services diploma or related field of study ( Required) CPR and First Aid Certification (Required) Covid 19 Vaccination (Preferred)

Requirements

Developmental Service Worker Diploma or related field of study Valid First Aid, CPR certificate, and Safe Management training G Class Driver's License Two Step TB Test ABA training is an asset Experience with behavior's is an asset or related experience Preference will be given to person with experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.

Work Hours

The hours of work are scheduled 80 hours bi-weekly with the potential of more shifts as they become available (Full-time) *A Vulnerable Sector Screening/Criminal Record Check will be requested by Human Resources should you be the candidate of choice. Please do not submit your Vulnerable Sector Screening/Criminal Record Check with your application.
