About the role

Assist with preparation, packaging, and organization of medication deliveries for LTC homes and retirement communities.

Ensure precise record-keeping and enter prescription information from nursing staff via dispensary software.

Prepare medication for compliance packaging and maintain workflow for receiving and processing prescriptions within timelines.

Support pharmacy inventory management and potentially operate an automated dispensing machine (PacMed).

Manage returns and expired products from nursing homes, including unpacking, sorting, and disposal of medications.

Prepare creams and liquids and generate daily and weekly production reports.

Maintain stock levels, reorder medications, and prepare manual and automated compliance packaging.

Maintain accurate documentation, confidentiality, adhere to ethical standards, and contribute to a clean pharmacy environment

Requirements

Entry level; experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification from an accredited Pharmacy Assistant program is preferred but not required (training provided).
