The Dental Hygienist performs the usual and customary procedures of the Registered Dental Hygienist and is a member in good standing with the CDHO. In addition to oral procedures, the hygienist must maintain an aseptic work area, be organized and self motivated, and demonstrate a high degree of sensitivity to all patient concerns to ensure patient comfort and confidence.
Diploma in Dental Hygiene Registered Dental Hygienist with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario and membership in good standing Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of dental hygiene Interpersonal skills to work well in a team environment, and with patients Standard First Aid - CPR C - AED certificate Knowledge or experience with PC software / dental software / radiograph imaging software Excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrated understanding of periodontal conditions and appropriate treatments
