About the role

The support worker will provide direct care and support to adults with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential setting. Responsibilities include implementing health care plans, facilitating daily routines, and teaching life skills to promote independence.

Pay rate

$25.95/hour

*Some benefits have eligibility requirements of surpassing three (3) months and securing a regular position of 20hrs/week or more. The benefits and criteria may change from time to time at the discretion of Strive.

The right candidate should have experience with Behavior Management, Personal Care, as well as a Medication Administration Certificate.

Job Duties Include but not limited to

  • Knowledge and experience working with developmental, physical disabilities, mental health and behaviours
  • Ability to create a meaningful routine
  • Knowledgeable of creating independence vs. creating dependence
  • Following health care plans
  • Completing daily documentation
  • Implementing personal protocols, schedules, and activities
  • Knowledge and experience with community integration and teaching life skills
  • Meet the physical requirement of the role
