Interior Health is hiring a Term Specific Full Time Nurse Practitioner in Kamloops, BC at the Kamloops Primary Care Centre. Primary care is often the first point of contact in the health care system and includes a range of services—whether it's a routine checkup with a family doctor, a session with a physiotherapist, or a consultation with a pharmacist or public health nurse. As a Nurse Practitioner within our Primary Health Care Centres, you will play a vital role in delivering collaborative, patient-centered care. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team that brings together physicians, other Nurse Practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, dietitians, mental health professionals, and other health care providers. This coordinated approach ensures clients receive timely, appropriate care from the right provider. In this role, you will provide comprehensive assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop individualized care plans. You will collaborate closely with team members to promote continuity of care, improve health outcomes, and ensure patients’ needs remain central to all care decisions.
Monday-Thursday, 0800-1800, weekends and stats off *on call may be required.
