12-Aug-26About the Opportunity Under the direction of the Manager, and under the supervision of therapists, the Rehabilitation Assistant, as an active member of the patient care team, works with individuals, families and groups to help educate and promote movement, occupation, and function. Working collaboratively with their team, the Rehabilitation Assistant is responsible for the safe and proficient delivery of interventions that have been assigned by the therapists for patients coping with limitations in movement and daily function. The Rehabilitation Assistant also checks and cleans equipment, maintains treatment and storage areas and may order necessary supplies. The successful applicant may be required to provide services anywhere within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

Grade 12 or GED Rehabilitation Assistant Program (which includes both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy components) Basic Cardiac Life Support Ability to communicate well with both patients and their families and staff Good interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with team members Organizational ability to complete assigned work and manage changing staffing and caseload levels Knowledge of proper body mechanics Demonstrate basic computer skills Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Access to reliable transportation

Long assignment, full-time position; 75 hours biweekly Approximately an 18 month assignment Compensation and Benefits $25.83 - $30.84 Hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Grade 12 or GED and a Rehabilitation Assistant Program certificate covering both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification and the ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team environment are also required.
