Offer client assessments/clinic visits.

Provide ongoing monitoring and self-management support follow-up for clients (adults, seniors, pediatrics) and/or those with multiple chronic conditions.

Provide care in individual or group settings, often within the family physician/nurse practitioner office

Position Summary

Penticton Primary Maternity Clinic has an exciting opportunity for a casual Primary Health Care Nurse to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital. We are seeking a confident, self-directed nurse who thrives in an autonomous role and is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Experience in perinatal care would be a valuable asset. This position works rotating day shifts from 08:30 to 16:30. How will we help you grow? The Primary Health Care Nurse assists individuals to achieve safe, realistic and reasonable healthcare goals and to maintain optimal health through the provision of information/health promotion, disease prevention and treatment/care management services. Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Current CPR- Basic Life Support required.

Current valid BC Driver’s License.

In certain primary care clinics and practice areas British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives RN certified practice may be required. (RN First Call, Remote Nursing, Sexually Transmitted Infections, and/or Contraceptive Management)
