Cognitive Therapist - Chinook, Calgary, AB.

Join a high-performing team that focuses on improving and maintaining every aspect of life for individuals recovering from brain dysfunction.

Working within a team this entry level position provides individual support to individuals and families recovering from brain injury or illness. A seasoned team of rehabilitation health care professional provides on the job training, your task is to administer programs designed to improve cognitive functioning such as problem solving, memory and information processing. You will assist with generating activities for client participation and integration into the community, as well as provide one on one support under supervision within the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in psychology, educational psychology or related diploma.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail, able to develop and maintain rapport with people.
  • Prioritize and follow instructions independently with demonstrated personal maturity.
  • Experience with adults, cognitive barriers and disabilities an asset.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be able to travel in southern Alberta.
